Nathan Hill is a Research Associate in the Sabeti Lab and the Lemieux Lab at MGH. His work has focused on cloning disease-associated genes from Borrelia burgdorferi, the bacteria that causes Lyme Disease, as well as examining the interaction of this bacteria and its proteins with host factors in vitro. He is interested in using genomics to identify and study genes that produce diverse Lyme disease symptom presentations.
Nathan studied Molecular and Cellular Biology at Harvard College, graduating in 2021. As an undergraduate, he worked with Pardis Sabeti and Andres Colubri to develop an agent-based model of the 2009 H1N1 pandemic.
When he’s not in the lab, you can find Nathan at the Boston Common AMC, jogging on the Northern Strand Community Trail, or in his local library!
