Melissa Rudy was a research associate in the Sabeti Lab from 2020-2021 studying viral-host transcriptomics during EBOV and SARS-CoV2 infection. Melissa harnessed the power of RNA-sequencing to understand how viruses are disseminated and compartmentalized throughout the body, as well as how the transcriptional landscape of the host changes in response to viral infection.
She is now pursuing a PhD at Baylor College of Medicine where she aims to merge computational and experimental methods to investigate cellular mechanisms involved in neurodegenerative diseases.
