Matt Bauer is a recent graduate from Harvard University’s Ph.D. program in Biological and Biomedical Sciences. As a member of the Sabeti Lab, Matt works on disease surveillance and translation regulation using high-throughput methods. Additionally, Matt was a Petrie-Flom Student Fellow at Harvard Law School researching health policies for access to essential medicines.
Before joining the lab, Matt was a research technician at Stanford University in Joanna Wysocka’s lab where he studied Cis-regulatory DNA elements. Before working at Stanford, Matt worked in the labs of Tyler Jacks and Matt Vander Heiden at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology studying cancer genomics and metabolomics. In 2013, Matt graduated from Syracuse University with a BS in Biochemistry and Neuroscience.
Matt is currently pursuing a Juris Doctorate at Harvard Law School.
