Alexis Gaab (She/Her) is an Administrative Assistant in the Sabeti Lab where she assists Dr. Sabeti in her communications and the Admin team with projects, such as social media and the lab Holiday Card. She also works with the Operation Outbreak team on their textbook, through copy editing, compiling citations, and reaching out in regard to image licensing. On a broader scale, she is very interested in infectious diseases and their interaction with our immune system, as well as increasing access to public health services in underserved communities.

Alexis studied Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Immunology and Pathogenesis at the University of California, Berkeley, graduating in 2022. During her final year at Cal, she interned remotely as a Communications Assistant for the Sabeti Lab. For two summers during undergrad, she was a summer intern for FirstElement Fuel, a company focused on hydrogen fuel alternatives and building hydrogen infrastructure.

Outside of the lab, Alexis loves traveling, hiking, listening to music, and watching Dodger baseball.
