Lily Chylek is a science writer in the Sabeti Lab. She writes and edits a range of projects, including grants, papers, and educational materials. Broadly, she is interested in communicating insights and questions arising from biological data through words, illustrations, and data visualizations.

Prior to joining the Broad, Lily was a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard Medical school. Her main projects focused on understanding how pharmacological treatments affect cancer cells, including how resistance to treatment develops. She completed her PhD at Cornell University, where she built computational models of biochemical networks involved in immune responses.

Outside of the lab, Lily is an artist; you can find her visiting museums, sketching outdoors, and occasionally showing up at art events. She also enjoys reading, running, and playing music.
