Gabrielle (Gabi) Gionet is excited to be part of the Sabeti lab. Her job is to help orchestrate the logistics involved in setting up and organizing research studies. Currently, she is also a master’s student at Boston University, where she studies epidemiology. She is drawn to public health because it serves as a way of practicing preventative medicine. Before the Sabeti lab, she worked in a pediatric cancer lab in Boston. Gabi received her undergraduate degree from McGill University in molecular biology and English, where she focused her research on the public health impacts of mining in Central America. When she’s not in lab, she loves to figure skate and go on road trips. She has also been learning how to rock climb, but progress is slow!
