A’Doriann Bradley is a research associate in the Sabeti Lab investigating the CRISPR/ Cas13 system within viral diagnostics of SARS-CoV-2. A’Doriann earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami in 2020. Her undergraduate research project at the University of Pittsburgh Vascular Medicine Institute utilized siRNA transfection to characterize the unknown physiological function of protein mARC-2 involved in chronic diseases such as pulmonary hypertension. Later, as a research assistant at the Diabetes Research Institute, A’Doriann studied factors of islet cell transplantation that limit its widespread use.
