Shervin Tabrizi graduated from Harvard College in 2011 with a degree in Chemical and Physical Biology. He completed his senior thesis in the Sabeti lab, focusing on analyzing genomic regions under positive selection from a genome-wide scan of the 1000 Genomes database. Now he has turned his attention to studying the genetics of infectious disease, and developing and applying computational tools to understand important events in recent human evolution.
Shervin is originally from Calgary, Canada, which has helped him survive the cold winters in Boston. When not busy with research, he likes to read widely, learn how to cook, and try out new restaurants in Boston.
